2022 Important Planning Numbers

Download

There are lots of important planning numbers that we work with.  At the same time, there are many core numbers our clients ask us about and need to keep in mind. In some cases, those numbers change each year. Other times, the figures do not change, but are still used frequently. Given the variety of sources for important planning numbers, it can be difficult to quickly find the right input or reference.

In response to this challenge, we provide the two-page resource Important Planning Numbers. The quick reference covers the most important annual limits, as well as figures that are commonly needed during the year.

Items covered include:

  • Federal tax rates for different filers (MFJ, Single, and Estate Trusts)
  • Alternative Minimum Tax annual limits
  • Long-term capital gains rates for different filers
  • Standard annual deductions for different filers
  • Social Security reference numbers including updated annual limits and taxation summary
  • Full Retirement Age chart
  • Medicare premiums and surcharges
  • Retirement plan annual limits by plan type
  • Traditional and Roth IRA annual limits
  • Education tax credits
  • Abbreviated Uniform Lifetime Table for required minimum distributions (RMDs)
  • Abbreviated Single Lifetime Table for RMDs
  • Estate and gift tax annual limits
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) annual limits
